Then gaped with raised eyebrows at the British troops drilling smartly, saluting, doing fatigues – as if the island was a million miles away from trouble. Yet only a few thousand yards stood between Hong Kong and the Japanese invasion sweeping down over the mainland. Right now this quiet island was about the most dangerous place on earth.
Mitch knew it, his tough guys knew it, but the British hadn’t wakened up yet! A smart kick in the pants was obviously needed. The Canadians would have to let them know there there was a war on, show them how to fight like men. How wrong can a guy get!
