Description
Summary:
Scientists, research engineers, electronics wizards – they were all called “boffins” by the air crews of the R.A.F. They were the men who invented strange new gadgets and weapons to be fitted to the aircraft, devices which sometimes worked well but sometimes went terribly wrong.
It was tough on Flight-Lieutenant Tim Burns, for Tim’s squadron was ordered to test a horribly dangerous new bomb operationally – and the boffin who invented it was his father.
