Join the Army to be a pilot? It doesn’t sound right, but that’s just what Harry Kemp did – only it wasn’t sleek fighters or heavily-armed bombers he flew. Instead he was the co-pilot of a large, lumbering, wood-and-canvas Horsa glider with twenty soldiers as passengers.
