Corporal Ray Jones looked inside the wooden box in the back of the Greek army truck. It was full of small cloth bags, a strange cargo to be carrying in the middle of a war. But the bags were heavy, incredibly heavy. He opened one – then another, and another – and stared in disbelief.
Gold coins, thousands of them! A fortune! A king’s ransom! And Ray was the only man in Greece who knew where it was!
