Description
Summary:
Private Harry Diamond of the Parachute Regiment sat in a Dakota droning its way to the mountains of Italy. All about him sat the strangest bunch of soldiers that ever fought for Britain.
In the dim, blue light Harry glanced around him. Each one wore a camouflaged smock, a steel helmet, a parachute. Each one was armed. But none could speak a word or cast a look in Harry’s direction. For under each helmet was a head of cloth on the limp figure of a life-size dummy.
Harry was alone, his mission – to drop upon the enemy among this silent, eerie company.
But could Harry’s, could any man’s nerve stand the strain of that frightful trip?
