Captain Joe Pike of the S.A.S. had one over-riding hatred – the R.A.F. and anyone connected with it. Ever since the day a tragic bombing accident had decimated his men, Joe was convinced the Air Force could do nothing right. So when he went back to France to organise the local Resistance, one thing he didn’t want was to be saddled with any airmen. But that’s what happened – he found himself being nurse-maid to not one but two R.A.F. pilots. And even worse, Joe was convinced that one of them was a coward and a traitor . . .
