Description
Summary:
A couple of Spitfire pilots, one British and one South African, met in the hot, dusty desert of Egypt. They had two things in common – flying and gambling.
They would bet on anything, that pair. A throw of the dice, a cut of the cards, flies crawling up a wall . . . anything for a gamble. The stakes were just a few shillings, maybe a pound or two.
And then suddenly they found themselves taking on the biggest gamble of all. The stakes this time were their own lives.
