Description
Summary:
Two hundred Australian troops, most of them rejects from other regiments, an ex-tanker skipper whose carelessness had cost him his job, a few natives untrained in modern warfare, and a Major who had been blamed for starting a desert retreat – they were all that stood in the way of the Japanese who wanted to take possession of a vital island in the Pacific.
But the Major is question was Colin Magowan and he was determined to prove that he and his men were not as useless as everyone thought. The question was – would he succeed?
