Most soldiers are only too pleased to win a medal – not that you’d hear them admit it, of course – for a medal is small enough reward for deeds of gallantry and colossal risk.

Sergeant Tim Brannigan was a holder of the Military Medal, and he should have been a proud man because they don’t give out M.M.’s for bunfights in the canteen. But Tim was far from happy about it – it seemed to make him jumpy and short-tempered somehow . . . almost scared sometimes.

And never more so than when the Jerry mortars opened up . . .

Some mild rubbing at edges, tanning. Book is sound and in good condition. Bags and boards optional, please add during checkout if required. Please examine photos carefully and see our notes on item condition before purchasing.
