Summary:
It was a clever idea. A Junkers 88, its nose packed with explosives, flown by the pilot of the fighter plane perched on top. A giant flying bomb. When the target was near, the bomber was aimed in a dive and the two aircraft separated.
Many of these devices were built, and each one was used against a special target. In this case it was a bridge in Germany. The date was March 15th 1945. The time, dawn . . .
