Tom Deacon was serving a stiff sentence in prison when war broke out. But he wasn’t there for long . . . some very influential people saw to that. You see, Tom was a safe-cracker – and he was good. There wasn’t a safe in Europe that he couldn’t open somehow or other.

And it was exactly those skills which were needed to steal vital documents from under the very noses of the Nazis in German-held France. But Tom knew that this time it wouldn’t be a prison sentence if he was caught. It would be a firing squad . . .
