Description
Summary:
The dam towered high over the river, a monument to man’s ingenuity – and a terrible weapon in the hands of the Nazis. Its menacing bulk, wired with explosives, held at bay a deluge which could drown thousands of Allied soldiers at the touch of a button.
So the dam had to be captured intact. But the British soldiers who got the job were in for a surprise – a surprise that had one of them reaching for the detonating button himself!
