Summary:
As the Allies pushed into France after D-Day, the Germans desperately tried to halt them. Sometimes they were successful, stopping the advance long enough to mount an attack of their own.
But in one such no-quarter battle they didn’t count on the courage of one platoon of ordinary British soldiers. Despite the odds, these were men who would never give up – and they made sure the enemy knew it!
