Description
Summary:
Jim Tanner was one of many British soldiers caught up in the retreat from Dunkirk. He hadn’t had an easy time of it – French deserters had killed one of his mates and he was sure a Frenchman who had promised to help him and his injured sergeant had instead gone running to the Germans about them.
So it was no wonder he refused ever to trust the French again. Nothing could make him change his mind on that – or could it?
