Nick Boston was an armourer, a ground crewman who kept R.A.F. kites ready to fly and fight at a moment’s notice. He wasn’t supposed to go up in the planes, yet here he was in a Beaufighter which was jinking and weaving in the skies over Burma, trying to shake off one of the top Japanese aces.
And this wasn’t the first time he’d flown in action and been shot at either!
