In 1941 the Germans launched one of the biggest paratroop operations of the war when they invaded the Mediterranean island of Crete. As if that wasn’t bad enough, a small British infantry squad found themselves pursued through the mountains by a crazed Nazi officer determined that not one of them would leave Crete alive.
