Description
Summary:
Captain Johnson, British Intelligence, or what’s left of him – is the guy on the sand. He was a man who knew all about duty, and all about courage. If you’re given a job, no matter how impossible it looks, you just go out and do it. Locating a roving armoured car patrol in the Western desert is no picnic at any time. But when the captain’s jeep broke down and he had to start walking, he ran out of water. Then he had to crawl.
One thing only was left in his reeling brain – the vital message to the armoured patrol commander: “There is a traitor among your men.”
At last he found them – or rather they found him. But was there breath enough left in him to tell . . . ?
