The German officer couldn’t believe his eyes. Orders from the top brass had dictated that the railway lines in this area of France were to be undamaged and kept clear of all traffic.
Now he knew why . . . they were being used, in the middle of a battle, to race two, heavy, thundering locomotives, one against the other. At least, that’s what it looked like to him . . . but the real truth was a lot stranger than that!
