The jungle in 1943 was a dangerous place where a man had to trust his life to a friend, for the enemy dealt solely in death. Sergeant Bill Simes knew this but he wasn’t sure if Lieutenant Langley would live long enough to learn, as British, Japanese and guerillas played a deadly game of hide-and-seek in the hot and steamy no-man’s land between Burma and China.
