Description
Summary:
To the ancient Egyptians, Somalia was the Land of Punt, a distant country on the Horn of Africa. To “Dodgy” Turner and “Windy” Waters it was a land of sand, sweat and flies, a place where any self-respecting soldier would seek a cushy number at any price.
So they volunteered to become instructors with the Somalia Camel Corps . . . just in time to begin a fighting retreat from an overwhelming Italian army as Punt became a land ruled by bullet, sword and fire.
