Second-Lieutenant Mark Lewis just didn’t fit in with his new regiment. It wasn’t really his fault and there were many petty reasons, but it made life even more difficult in the cut-and-thrust of action in the North African desert.
And worse was to follow when he found himself facing a catalogue of serious crimes. His only hope was to clear his name in battle with the help of an awkward squad who weren’t too keen on spit-and-polish but, boy, they knew how to fight.
