In 1916, during the First World War, a whole squad of British soldiers mysteriously disappeared around the ruins of the ancient fort of El Shabar while fighting the Turks in the Mesopotamian desert.

For many years the mystery remained unsolved – almost forgotten. Then two archeological expeditions – one British and one Turkish – met at El Shabar, but the rivalries of the past were about to be overshadowed by a deadly new threat!
