The Americans caught up in the fighting in the Ardennes in 1944, when the Germans mounted a telling counter-attack, soon realised they could trust nobody. Nazis, disguised as Yanks, had caused chaos, slaughtering those they caught unawares.
The situation made the likes of tough sergeant Ed Waldrop very wary – and trigger-happy. And that wasn’t good news for the two officers in British uniform who aroused the suspicion of crackshot Ed!
