“Collect goods at dawn. Uncle Olaf is waiting.”

That was the coded signal which Colonel Knud Haagen had been waiting for. It meant he was to take Norway’s gold reserves north, then load them on a ship  bound for Britain before the Germans invaded.

But what his superiors didn’t know was that Uncle Olaf would be waiting for some time, because Haagen had devised his own plan – to keep the gold for himself.
