Heads lowered, eyes to the ground, the file of British prisoners shambled slowly into the docks of the North African port. The German sentry watching them sneered scornfully. This was all they were fit for, unloading the ships of the Third Reich.
But if he had only known what these prisoners were to get up to in a few hours, he would have chucked away his rifle and run for his very life.
