Summary:
Lieutenant Troy Aitken commanded a Royal Navy Scout dirigible reconnaissance balloon and Captain Hermann Korder was in charge of a German U-boat. As they did their duty during the First World War, their paths crossed during a savage Atlantic storm.
But when they and their men were stranded on the icy wastes of Greenland, all thoughts of enmity were forgotten. This was one war they would have to face together as they battled for survival against the sub-zero blizzard conditions of the frozen Arctic.
