Description
Summary:
Major Roger Saunders, C.O. of a British Army unit fighting it out high in the Italian mountains against suicidal Germans with suicidal Germans, was worried. Sergeant Bill Drake, his best N.C.O., seemed to be going soft in the head. He’d been telling some far-fetched story of how a savage eagle could read his thoughts and do anything he asked – even attack Germans.
It was ridiculous . . . but some of the enemy didn’t think so!
