Description
Summary:
The Military Cross is awarded to British Army officers below the rank of Major for gallant and distinguished service in action. It is not an honour achieved easily and those who have won the M.C. are justly proud.
One officer, however, wore this medal with guilt instead of pride. He had won it unjustly in the First World War . . . and now he was heading for action in the Second World War. Could he make amends this time . . . or would he never prove his worth?
