Description
Summary:
To outsiders they were just another bunch of soldiers like many others involved in the terrible trench warfare of the First World War. But their mates knew different . . . for they called them “Skinner’s Squad”, on account of the fact that Company Sergeant Major Bert Skinner had chosen them for a very odd reason.
You see, in their ranks, just like in the nursery rhyme, they had a tinker, a tailor, a soldier, a sailor, a rich man, a poor man, a beggar man . . . and that just left a thief to make everything complete.
It had started as a joke to cheer everybody up, but that was all about to change as their “thief” brought added danger into their lives!
