Description

Summary:

Marksmen, sharpshooters, snipers . . . different names for soldiers who put their shooting skill to devastating use on the battlefield. In the First World War, the Germans were the first to train men specifically for this deadly task, and Sergeant Gunther Lutz soon proved himself to be one of the best . . . but he had never found killing in cold blood easy, and now it was more and more difficult to carry out his orders.

There were plenty callous volunteers to step into his boots, though, and that would call for a very special British marksman to rise to the challenge.
