Colin Cooper was no stranger to fear. From the day he nearly fell off a church roof, it had gnawed away at the back of his mind.
Then came Norway and more fear when, as a young private, he was injured and left behind by his mates as they retreated before the advancing German invaders.
His problems seemed to be over, however, when a friendly Norwegian showed him the way to Sweden and safety – until out stepped a Nazi patrol and Colin was living with fear once more . . .
