Squadron Leader Tom Kemble stared out into the pitch darkness round his night fighter. There it was again, the tell-tale stab of flame from a plane’s exhaust. Quickly he closed in, his guns hammering. His victim burst into flames – and Tom felt a cold sweat break out all over him.
It was an aircraft from his own squadron!
