The Messerschmitt pilot swooped closer, warily. And down below him the Whirlwind fighter kept on its steady course, its pilot neither seeing nor hearing. Even a burst of cannon fire didn’t rouse him.
Finally the German signalled to his wingman that they were to pull out. There was something mighty strange about the whole business, he reckoned.
But he could never have imagined the truth – that the Whirlwind pilot was under a curse that had dogged his family for centuries!
