Pilot Officer Jan Kruger was a Dutchman, an ace fighter pilot serving with the R.A.F. And the other pilots in his squadron weren’t too keen on having an outsider, a foreigner, flying with them. They hoped to show Jan ha wasn’t wanted – but Jan decided he would show them that a flying Dutchman could be mighty useful when it came to taking on the Luftwaffe’s aces!
