Summary:
The cry rings out from the bridge . . . “Full ahead! Torpedoes ready! Fire one! Fire two!” Amid a hail of shell-splinters and bullets the little boats dart in towards the convoy and launch their deadly fish. Then, their own guns hammering, they scream out again to safety.
It was a tough war for the MTBs, made tougher still by the prowling German S-boats. This is the story of a British flotilla and a German flotilla and the feud between them. It is also a story of courage and heroism above and beyond the call of duty.
