No men faced greater peril than the “human torpedoes”. Riding their steeds of steel and high explosive, at the mercy of weather, tides, mines and depth charges, they slid into enemy harbours where the slightest false move meant instant death.
Willy Barnes and Jim Cork were two such men. In France, Norway and the Far East they left a trail of destruction and chaos in their wake.
