Summary:
Beyond the rain-lashed windscreen the lightning flashed in the pitch-black tropic night, the thunder rumbled like the crack of doom. The battle-scarred Liberator flew on, searching for a landing somewhere in the countless miles of ocean. Then, as by a miracle, the lights of a flare-path winked on and the big bomber nosed thankfully downwards.
These men did not know they were flying into bigger danger than they had ever known. For this was no ordinary place – this was Suicide Island!
