Notes on item condition

We are not expert graders of comics. Therefore, we use a simplified method of categorising comics. Here we provide a full description of each of three grades or categories that we use when listing used comics for sale.

These categories are intended to be an indication only of general condition only. Each individual item listing will highlight any specific issues where noted and further indications of condition as appropriate. Please also examine carefully any images of the item as these are considered to form part of the description. If you have any concerns relating to condition, please ask questions or request further images prior to any purchase. By proceeding with a purchase you will be deemed to have accepted the item general conditions noted here and specifics as noted on the individual item listing.

  • Very good – Has likely been read and probably does not look brand new but has no obvious damage to the cover, all pages are present and show no more than minor wear (e.g., minor creases), no sign of writing, pen parks or stickers to the cover. Generally, minimal wear and tear.

  • Good – In generally sound condition but will show more signs of age and wear and tear. Some scuffing and creasing may be present to the cover or internally. Some minor loss is possible. All pages should be present and intact. ‘Stacking curl’ may be evident. There should be no writing or stickers to the cover though there may be minor pen marks within.

  • Acceptable – Basically covers everything else. Likely to have at least one issue that prevents it from being categorised as above but should still be in a readable condition. Pen marks/writing or stickers to cover or internally, loose covers or pages, tears or loss and other faults are all possible.

Items of any condition may show age related issues such as discoloration or yellowing of pages. All of the comic books sold here are pre-owned.
