Summary:
The British pilots in their Wildcats were no match for the sleek Japanese “Oscar” fighters. And the Japanese who flew the aircraft with the Black Arrow insignia emblazoned on it was in a class all of his own. Not even brave, skilful flyers like Lieutenant Bill Sanford were good enough to counter the enemy challenge.
But all this was before Bill met an American pilot who had some ideas of his own about tactics – and from then on things began to change . . .
