After a disastrous R.A.F. raid on a V-1 factory, the Luftwaffe investigators moved in and soon all the Lancaster bombers that the German anti-aircraft gunners and night-fighter crews had claimed to have shot down were accounted for. All, that is, except for one.
Hauptmann Willhelm Furth in charge of the investigation wasn’t worried. After all, a 21-metre-long Lancaster bomber couldn’t be hard to find . . . could it?
