Everybody reckoned that young Oliver Standish was a real fighting man. Son of a famous World War I hero, he had been the first officer in his training class to volunteer for the Commandos. Yes, Oliver looked a hero, sounded like a hero. The only thing was, he had a yellow streak a mile wide – and his old pal Jack Warden had promised Oliver’s father he’d keep him out of trouble!
