Description

Sergeant-pilot Matt Braddock, Victoria Cross and bar, first appeared in prose form in D.C. Thomson’s Rover in 1952. His character was later depicted in comic strip form in both Warlord and Victor, from the 1960s through 1980s. In 2019, the character was revived for two Commando stories – Braddock (5259) and Braddock Demons (5269)

I Flew With Braddock is the first appearance of Matt Braddock in book form. This hardback edition, published in 1959, collects stories originally serialised in Rover in the early 1950s. The author is credited as George Bourne – the story’s fictional narrator and navigator.

Condition:

The book itself has general wear and internal tanning but is completely intact and sound with no inscription and in overall good condition. It is rare to find this book complete with its original dust wrapper. The jacket has wear around the edges with some loss. There is a hard to see tear along the seam where the flap meets the front. It remains attached. The jacket  has been fitted with a removable protective cover. Jacket condition is acceptable.
