A peaceful summer’s day in which you can imagine these two Great War aeroplanes, locked in a deadly duel, silently fluttering around the striking blue sky like butterflies around flowers.
The use of aeroplanes during World War One changed and evolved quickly over the course of the war and Ace’s like RAF pilot Billy Bishop and the German ‘Red Baron’ Manfred von Richthofen became popular heroes.
This 10″ by 8″ print was created using Epson Ultrachrome HD Archival Inks onto 255gsm Somerset Enhanced Velvet paper. This 100% cotton paper combined with the Ultrachrome HD Archival inks produces outstanding prints that feature brilliant colours, deep blacks, striking contrasts and perfect reproduction of detail.
The print measures 10″ x 8″ (25.4 x 20.3cm) and has been hand-signed by the artist, Graeme Neil Reid.
