Lieutenant Ray Onslow of the Royal Flying Corps was a superb pilot, well on his way to bagging 15 kills and earning that title of ‘Ace’.
At the same time, exactly the same thing was happening to a fledgling German counterpart, Leutnant Theo Uhlman.
